What is EasyEarVent and what this device is for??
EasyEarVent is an autoinflation device consisting of five balloons and a nose piece eliminating the negative pressure in the middle ear for the treatment of the symptoms Eustachian tube dysfunction and serous otitis media.
What is the purpose and place of use?
This device helps to open the Eustachian pipe to equalize the air pressure and allows the liquid in the middle ear naturally to flow to the back of the throat. It is used by placing the nose piece on the outer end of a nostril.
How to use EasyEarVent?
- Connect a balloon to the nose piece.
- Hold the nose piece firmly against one of your nostrils while pressing your other nostril closed.
- Inhale deeply and close your mouth; inflate the balloon until it is the size of a grapefruit, by blowing through your nostril.
- Repeat this procedure with the other nostril.
What is the duration and frequency of the procedure?
After the device is placed in a nostril, it takes approximately 15-20 seconds to inflate and equalize the negative pressure. The precodure should be repeated at least 2 times a day, preferably 3 times and for at least 4-6 weeks. Each medical balloon may be inflated a maximum of 20 times.

EasyEarVent is suitable for all patients over 3 years old. The device is intended for use by the patient. Should be used in children under adult supervision.
